Description
Selling my 1995 Land Rover Discovery. Needs a new manual transmission. Runs great other than that and still is really good off-road. Low range and locking diffs with a manual transmission. Will need to be towed. Will add more pictures soon.
The good -
- Thick (maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch) skid plate
- New radiator
- New coolant reservoir
- New Alternator
- New Oil Filter and Oil
- Manual Transmission (very rare in the US; yes the transmission is broken so this will also go in the "Ugly" category)
- New Accelerator Cable
- New(ish) Fuel Pump
- Low range and diff locks work fine
- New(ish) weather tech mats
- New Battery
- Newer radio
- New exhaust
- Still off roads excellently
- Little to no rust on frame (sat in garage in winters first 20 years of its life)
- Have new brakes and rotors in box (needs to be installed)
The bad -
- Rear Door/Trunk Door's Hinge nut is missing so it can swing too wide and sometimes needs to be reseated (more of a watch than an actual problem)
- Driver side door, Driver Side second Section Door, Trunk Door needs key/to be previously unlocked to open (broken springs)
- Cracked plastic (to hold down the upper portion of the dash)
- Chipped Windshield (but sealed and hasn't changed in 8 years. It's the original windshield so general ware on there)
- Minor scratches from 27 years of car parks and debris but not much all things considered
- Crack in the right rear stow box in the trunk. Tape on inside holding nicely and hides the crack as it is a clean break.
- Second section windows do not go down or if they do they do not consistently go up
- Sunroof leaks and the sunroof sometimes opened but didn't close so it has been sealed
- Will need rotors and brakes soon (I have these parts from Atlantic British, just hadn't gotten them on yet so you can have them if you want)
- ABS and SRS Light On
- Leaks a little oil
The Ugly -
- Needs a new manual transmission.
- 235k miles
